7 Steps to overcoming procrastination

I want to start by thanking you for coming to my blog. We'll look at seven intriguing strategies to beat procrastination in this blog. We all post about ourselves on social media in this day and age, which causes us to put off doing our everyday tasks and makes us feel unworthy. Let's get started,

1.BREAK THE TASK INTO SMALLER

By dividing the task into smaller parts you can tackle each step on each step one by one its help you complete the task quickly

2. THE 2 MINUTES RULE

The  idea is that if a task will you take less than two minutes do it immediately

"Something can be done in 2 minutes or less . Do it immediately." - David Allen

3.DISTRACTION FREE ENVIRONMENT

     To stay focused, it is essential to create a distraction free environment. Turn off all notification and keep focus on your work. By creating distraction-free environment, you can optimize your productivity and achieve your goals more effectively

4.TIME MANAGEMENT TECHNIQUES



  • The Power of Three - Focus on three most important tasks before addressing anything else
  • The 90-Minute Work Interval - Work 90-minute with a 20-30 minutes break
  • Task Batching- Group similar tasks together and complete them in one batch
  • Use Time Tracking Apps - These tools help you spend your time
  • The "Do, Delegate, Delete Approach -  Decide and take action
  • The Pomodoro Technique - Work 25minutes , 5 minutes break and repeat

5. ACCOUNTABILITY



     Taking responsibility for your actions and the actions of your co-workers. By embracing accountability, you can take control of you actions and decision, leading to greater success and personal growth.

6.SET CLEAR GOALS 

SPECIFIC - Make goals clear and specific.

MEASURABLE - Define measurable assets.

ATTAINABLE - Confirm your goals are attainable

RELEVENT - Verify your goals are relevant

TIME-BASED - Set up a time-based plan

7.OVERCOME PERFECTION :

Set goal rough draft without worrying about making it perfect

  • To overcome perfectionism, recognize and challenge unrealistic expectations and negative self talk.
  • Focus on progress, not perfection, by setting achievable goals and celebrating small wins. 
  • Practice self- compassion by treating yourself with kindness and accepting imperfection,
  • Develop a growth mindset by emphasizing learning and viewing failures as opportunities for growth.
  • Seek support from trusted individuals or professionals, and consider practicing mindfulness , setting realistic deadlines, and learning to say "good enough" when necessary
